Continue to Abensberg, where Kuchlbauer's beer world expects you. Not only you will get to know the art of brewing Bavarian beer, you’ll also see the largest coherent piece of art (Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper") in the vaulted cellar. Drinking beer and ceremonial chinking of mugs are only some of the events during the wheat beer (Weißbier) tasting. Overnight stay and dinner in Munich.
Day 5: Munich
Explore the city of Munich by tram (from the beginning of June to beginning of October) or by bus, and afterwards taste a delicious veal sausage (Weißwurst). Your tour guide will show you the attractions of the city centre, after which you will continue on from Königsplatz to the Olympic Park and through the trendy Schwabing district. You can enjoy lunch at a typical Bavarian brew pub (for supplement), and afterwards, visit Nymphenburg palace - the summer residence of the Bavarian ruling family. This baroque-style building is still basically decorated as it originally was in the 17th-18th centuries. Then you will stop at the gardens of Residenz - one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe. Spend an unforgettable evening in a traditional restaurant. Traditional Bavarian folk music and a traditional Bavarian menu is on offer. Back to the hotel, overnight in Munich.
Day 6: Munich - departure
Check-out, time for shopping, transfer to the Munich airport. Departure. Alternatively transfer from Munich back to Prague – depending on your flight schedule.
Amusement program in Pilsner Urquell Brewery (out tip – choose one of these options):
- „roll the cags“ in the brewery – guests will learn how formerly brewers manipulated with wooden barrels. Rolling a cask with a driving rod on a distance could seem easy but it’s not...
- „like a cooper“ - your guests will become brewer coopers for a moment and the cooperage will be to build a miniature brewing barrel in the same way as ancient brewing coopers produced (and still produce) oak barrels.
